Inaugurated in 2018 with the support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, SRACP launched the “YouChallenge” mobile app which is a brand-new service model in social welfare sector. Through the mobile app, we can actively connect with youths, encourage disadvantaged youths to accomplish different tasks in real life, and by earning points they are able to redeem desirable rewards and opportunities to excel themselves, so as to develop positive attitude.
So far, more than 1,000 people have registered to use the mobile app, and more than 600 challenge tasks have been created.
"Hong Kong 01" interviewed one of the challengers, K (alias), and Ms. Gigi Chan, the project supervisor. During the interview, K shared how to develop her own advantages from the challenges and overcome the low tide of life, as well as to rebuild a positive identity and self-image.
